Young Leaders Society Pakistan is a volunteer-based organisation striving to empower youth for a much-needed social reform in Pakistan.
Young Leaders Society was founded on August 14, 2020 (Pakistan's Independence Day), by a founding committee of 8 members. The organisation emerged from discussions among concerned young leaders who came together to address the challenges facing Pakistani youth, consulting with professionals across organisations, departments, and political parties before formally establishing the society.
Following constitutional approval in September 2020, the organisation opened membership and experienced rapid growth, establishing regional chapters in major cities, launching awareness campaigns, community service projects, and educational workshops.
Today, Young Leaders Society operates across active zones in Pakistan (Potohar, Punjab and KPK), with its first international nation (YLS United Kingdom) now established, and 14 chapters at universities and schools. We are a registered society under the Societies Registration Act 1860, with an Executive Council, Directorate, and Board of Advisors guiding our work.
From securing hostel rights for 100,000+ students to partnering with the Pakistan Digital Authority, Young Leaders Society is building a track record of real-world impact.
“You can read a thousand books and courses on leadership, but leadership is only earned through practice.”
YLS is not a certificate programme or a passive learning experience. It is a live leadership laboratory. Decision-making, team management, conflict resolution, public speaking, strategic thinking: none of these can be absorbed from a classroom. They are developed through real responsibility.
From day one, members are placed in real organisational roles with real accountability: running departments, managing teams, organising events, representing zones, and contributing to genuine policy and social-impact work. You don't study leadership here. You do it.
Real change is never declared into being; it’s grown, one person at a time. We Engage the young people the future belongs to, Educate them into the knowledge that conviction requires, and Empower them with the responsibility that turns belief into action. Then the circle turns: every leader we empower goes on to engage the next.
Change starts with showing up.
We meet young people where they already are (on campuses, in their communities, online) and turn quiet bystanders into people who believe the future is theirs to shape.
Conviction needs substance.
A spark without understanding burns out. We give our members civic literacy, a grasp of their rights, and real leadership skill, so what they stand for rests on knowledge, not noise.
Knowledge is only potential until it’s used.
We put real responsibility in young hands (teams to lead, events to run, decisions to own), so the people we educate become the leaders who engage the next.
Empower feeds back into Engage, which is why it’s a circle, not a ladder. It never stops widening.
To bring about societal change by empowering the youth of Pakistan through education, civic engagement, and social activism to foster a generation of informed, responsible, and proactive leaders.
A Pakistan where every young person has the opportunity, platform, and skills to lead: in their community, their profession, and their country.
If the 3 Es are the change we pursue, the 3 Cs are how we build the people who pursue it. Every YLS member is grown and measured by three things.
Showing up, consistently. Leadership is proven in the unglamorous middle: meetings kept, deadlines met, responsibility carried when no one is watching.
Output over noise. We value what you build, organise, and move forward: work that leaves your chapter, your zone, or your cause better than you found it.
Who you are under pressure. Integrity, humility, and the courage to do right by the team and the mission. It’s what turns a member into someone others choose to follow.
