At a pivotal Executive Council meeting on September 15, 2024, Young Leaders Society ratified its founding Constitution and administered the oath of office to incoming General Secretary Zainab Ali.
On September 15, 2024, Young Leaders Society held a pivotal Executive Council meeting that marked a defining chapter in the organisation's institutional development: the ratification of the YLS Constitution.
The Constitution establishes a solid governance framework โ defining the rights and responsibilities of members, the structure of leadership, mechanisms for decision-making, and the processes by which Young Leaders Society will grow and self-govern in the years ahead. Its passage represents the organisation's transition from a passionate movement into a formally governed institution.
In a proud moment for the entire team, Zainab Ali was administered the oath of office as the new General Secretary of Young Leaders Society. Her appointment brings fresh energy and organisational acumen to the Executive Council at a critical moment of institutional growth.
The meeting also included a focused workshop on organisational building โ equipping the Executive Council with tools for managing growth, sustaining leadership pipelines, and ensuring chapter quality as Young Leaders Society expands into new cities.
The EC concluded by initiating preparations for an upcoming national recruitment drive โ the mechanism through which Young Leaders Society identifies and onboards the next generation of chapter presidents and members.
With its Constitution in hand and a strengthened leadership team, Young Leaders Society enters a new phase of structured, principled growth.
