Young Leaders Society's February GBM at the Savvital Office in Islamabad brought together chapter presidents, directors, and new members for strategic planning, oath-taking, and leadership development.
Young Leaders Society conducted its February General Body Meeting at the Savvital Office, I-9, Islamabad โ a gathering that served as both a strategic planning session and a celebration of the organisation's growing membership.
The meeting commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a comprehensive orientation for new members covering Young Leaders Society's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
One of the most significant moments of the GBM was the formal oath-taking ceremony, where new members, Chapter Presidents, and Directors pledged their commitment to Young Leaders Society's principles of leadership, service, and ethical governance. This ritual reinforced organisational unity and collective responsibility.
An engaging introduction segment allowed the Executive Team, Directors, and Chapter Leaders to share their roles, experiences, and aspirations. The session highlighted the breadth of expertise within the organisation โ from policy advocacy and community development to digital innovation and grassroots mobilisation.
The standout segment of the GBM was a workshop on Organisation Building delivered by co-founder Daniyal Abdullah. The session covered structural development, leadership sustainability, and effective governance, equipping attendees with practical tools to enhance their chapters' impact.
The President of Young Leaders Society delivered a forward-looking address outlining key priorities:
Recognising that strong relationships fuel strong organisations, the GBM incorporated structured networking time. An interactive ice-breaking session allowed members from different chapters to exchange ideas and explore collaborations โ followed by a lively hi-tea where informal conversations continued.
Leadership delivered closing remarks expressing gratitude to all participants before the day concluded with a focused Executive Council meeting where office-bearers aligned on immediate next steps.
As one attendee summed up: "Today wasn't just about meetings โ it was about movement. We're not just planning the future; we're building it."
